What is development?

Children grow and develop throughout their life.  Early skills include taking a first step, smiling for the first time, and waving “bye bye”.  As they grow older, children develop more skills as they play, learn, speak, behave, and move.

What is a developmental screen?

A developmental screen can help you and your child’s doctor to know whether or not your child is developing like other children of the same age.  It is a simple way to ask questions about what your child can do.

How does the program work?

If you are interested, please complete the enrollment/consent form.

  • After you enroll, a developmental screen will be mailed to you every 3 to 6 months.  You then complete the screen and return it to the program.

  • Ideas for fun ways to help your child develop will be shared with you.  You may also receive information about community programs and activities.
  • If there is a concern about your child’s development, you will be contacted about possible next steps.
  • If you sign the consent, we can work with your child’s doctor or QUEST Coordinator may also help in following your child’s development.

Is there a cost?

Participation is VOLUNTARY and at NO COST to families.
